The Mærsk piece is woven stainless steel netting with lights positioned behind it stretching through a few stories (14m/46ft high) of a coporaate building in Copenhagen. The piece has two colour settings and changes every 15 minutes.

Rocks and Minerals
After feeling underwhelmed by my Botony Collection visit I decided to take a trip back to the Manchester Museum. I found the entire trip of the museum very interesting and will definitely re-visit the museum in the future.
I was particularly interested in the rock collection on this specific visit though, I love the colours, textures and shapes of the rocks. Here are just a couple of my photographs that I took on the tip:

Botany Collection
As I have a keen interest in nature I arranged to visit the Botany Collection at the Manchester Museum.
The collection is huge, and consists of pressed flowers with their names and dates that they were pressed.
I found it fascinating that these flowers could be preserved for so long, some of the flowers dating back to the 1700s.
However my photographs didnt turn out to be as exciting as I thought. Here are just a few (click on the images to enlarge):

Although the images themselves don't interest me as much as I'd hoped, one thing that does interest me is the colours captured by these images. The aged neutral colour palette is beautiful and I would like to use this in the future of my work.

Lantern Spaces
I am interested in the nature of the light from the lantern spaces on the new building and would like to design something for these spaces. I have indicated on this first image the direction of the light that I like the look of with red arrows (click on image to enlarge):
I have decided that I would like to design something for just one of those lantern spaces. I really like the elongated open space and would enjoy the challenge of working towards such a large scale. I have indicated in the next image the exact space that I want to design for (click image to enlarge):
